Abdel Fattah el-Sisi

Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is the sixth and current president of Egypt, serving since 2014. A career military officer, he rose to prominence as the commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence before leading the military intervention that ousted President Mohamed Morsi in 2013. He subsequently transitioned to civilian political leadership, winning presidential elections in 2014, 2018, and 2022.
